Project to renovate and
upgrade the boat dock at
Titop island in Halong Bay include
items of demolishing the old wharf and built a new ship dock
by reinforced concrete, total length is 60m, width of 5.5 m, emblishing operator station and fire protection systems,
electrical lighting system of terminal. After upgrading and
expansion will become level 3 waterway construction work, at
the same time can handle 15 ships coming in and off the
wharf, The project is expected to be completed in early 2014

By this time, the project has completed 25% workload. The
contractor has completed the demolition of the old terminal,
installed makeshift port to serve the visitors and built
some underwater items.
Located in the central area of
World natural heritage Halong
Bay, about 7 - 8 km to the southeast of the Bai Chay tourist
wharf, the Titop island is considered one of the most
attractive destinations in Halong. The beach in Titop island
has the shape of a sickle moon. The sand on the beach is
washed everyday by tides. Most
Halong bay tours bring
tourists to Titop as part of the trip, every day thousands
of visitors come and relax on the beach, tourists can climb
more than 420 steps up to the top of the mountain for a
panorama view of Halong bay. Therefore the completion of the
new ship dock will facilitate the cruisers and ensure safety
for travelers, gradually improve infrastructure in Halong
Bay.
The project has a total investment of over 47 billion,
invested by Halong Bay Management Board and is under
construction in the early months of 2013. Currently, the
executing unit Thang Long Mechanic and Construction joint
stock company is overcoming difficulties of building on
water to complete the project according to the schedule set
to meet the growing demand of visitors.
