The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh has celebrated the signing of the agreement on tourism cooperation with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Administration of the special autonomous province Jeju (South Korea)

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Trinh Dang Thanh, deputy director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has introduced some features about the potential and advantages of developing tourism in Quang Ninh province. In recent years, Quang Ninh has developed cooperative relationships with many tourist provinces and cities of South Korea, the province has sent delegations to promote tourism in Korea. Quang Ninh highly respond the great importance of Korean market. Currently, South Korean tourists stand in the top 10 markets of international tourists to Halong bay in Quang Ninh.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Kang Seung Su, general director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Administration of the special autonomous province Jeju, South Korea stressed the special relationship between Vietnam and South Korea in recent years. Currently, Jeju Province also carried out many cooperation activities with Vietnam in many fields.

Representative of Quang Ninh tourism leaders have committed to the content of the agreement on tourism cooperation. According to a memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation, the two sides will strengthen relations and cooperation to promote the development of tourism, creating a healthy environment, develop new tourist products, push promotion of tourism. At the same time, the two provinces will try to form a group or international involvement of other regions in the world towards the development of tourism. Jeju province will help Quang Ninh set up an office in Jeju, organize human resource training courses, including travel and tourism marketing training. The two sides will jointly promote the exchange of practical experience, knowledge and skills to develop tourism

Also at the ceremony, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Administration of the special autonomous province Jeju has confirmed the signing of tourism development cooperation agreement is an important legal basis for strengthening tourism cooperation between the two sides in the future. This event marked the development of tourism cooperation between Quang Ninh and Jeju, the two sides pledged efforts to implement the agreement.
