ITINERARY

Day 1 Halong Bay - Junk overnight
This morning you are collected at around 8.30am for the 4 hour drive to Halong Bay . En route there will be a short stop at the Sao Do centre run for and by handicapped children. On arrival we board our deluxe junk, this traditional wooden sailing junk boat offers a unique way of navigating the limestone karsts of Halong Bay with all the comforts of a motorised, floating hotel. Once settled in, you start your cruise round the majestic Halong Bay , while enjoying a delicious lunch. After lunch you have the chance to explore some of the limestone caves dotted around the bay. Then, the captain will find a secluded spot where you can swim in the clear water of the bay, soak up the sun on the top deck. In the evening the cook prepares a sumptuous meal as the boat weighs anchor in the heart of the bay.

Meal inclusions: Lunch and dinner

Days 2-3
Monkey Island Resort
Rising to the tranquil beauty of the bay on day 2 we have time for an early morning swim followed by breakfast. This morning we continue to move around the bay to find more secluded areas, we take a look at the Floating Village of the fisherman and the Luon lagoon, then keep sailing towards Cat Ba Island. Arrive in Cat Ba Island, you are ferried to Monkey island, a laid back beach resort. Rest of the day is free for leisure. We spend the night in the bungalow.
We have 2 full days free to chill out and relax. Monkey island Resort is a 'get-away-from it all' hideaway in Lan Ha bay. Perfectly located on Monkey island, here you can savour fresh seafood, local fruits & enjoy a cocktail as you watch the stunning sunset drop over the ocean horizon.
You're free to plan your days on the island as you wish; do whatever want to do and nothing that you don't want to do. Spend some time relaxing on the beach or read a book that you never got around to reading back home. If you would prefer a more active way to spend the day, there are plenty of activities and options to choose from, go on a kayaking trip around the island and take a close up and personal look at the colourful world below the surface of the sea or trek up the mountain to the other side of the island to make friend with the monkeys, you'll also have complimentary access to most water sports the resort has to offer. So if you ever do feel the need to do something a little more strenuous than relaxing by the beach.... water sports await!.
